Hey y’all, it’s Pickleball!
In the morning before the temperatures rise or when it cools off as the sun goes down, come play pickleball at Canyon View Resort in our two beautiful new courts. We’ll even lend you the equipment!
It’s an easy game and great for all ages and abilities. It’s a little like badminton and tennis combined. Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court. The ball is served diagonally starting with the right-hand service square and points can only be scored by the side that is serving.
Players on each side must let the ball bounce once before volleys are allowed, and there is a seven-foot no-volley zone on each side of the net to prevent spiking. The server continues to serve alternating courts until he or she faults. The first side scoring 11 points and leading by at least 2 points win. Pickleball can be played with singles or doubles.
Even if you’ve never played before, pickleball can be a lot of fun and great exercise. So, stop by the office and ask to borrow pickleball paddles and balls!
